Aracaju

Aracaju is located on the banks of the Sergipe River, has historical monuments and has about 30 kilometres of beaches with warm and calm waters.

Aracaju is a quiet, safe, cosy and welcoming city.

Prepared for the tourist market, the capital of Sergipe has natural attractions – beaches, rivers, mangroves -, tasty gastronomy marked mainly by flavours of the sea and an excellent urban infrastructure.

The local population and visitors have a wide range of cultural and leisure facilities, such as museums, art galleries, convention centres, theatres, parks, nightclubs and concert halls.

Thanks to the integrated public transport system, it is possible to visit the entire capital of Sergipe with a single ticket, which allows passengers to take as many buses as they wish.

And for those who like cycling, Aracaju offers more than 50 km of cycle paths.

The city also has a quality hotel chain, bars, restaurants and, most importantly, a happy and hospitable people.

It is no wonder that, in a survey conducted by the Ministry of Health last year, Aracaju was considered the Brazilian capital of quality of life.
