Naturism in Bahia
Massarandupió naturist beach
On the way along the clay road, you will pass through a quiet village with a few houses, inns, markets and shops, such as handicrafts.
It is also possible to take a day trip from Salvador or from nearby beaches such as Itacimirim, Imbassaí, Guarajuba, Porto de Sauípe, Subaúma, Conde, Baixio and Praia do Forte.
By car, simply park for free in one of the spaces near the coconut trees, a few metres from the strip of sand. From there to the naturist beach, it’s about a 20-minute walk, but before that you can enjoy the part of the beach where you don’t have to be undressed.
The naturist beach is located in the centre of the city.
Another option for those who are in a group where some people are naturists and others are not is to stay in the adaptation area, where it is not necessary to take off your clothes.
During busy seasons and days, such as summer and Saturdays, security guards help control visitors.
The practice of naturism is allowed every day of the year, at any time. In order to preserve the privacy of the visitors, the town hall has forbidden the construction of any kind of enterprise within 300 metres of the naturist area.
Some beach huts serve as a support point for tourists, both in the naturist part and in the strip where it is possible to stay in clothes.
Ecovila da Mata
Ecovila da Mata is a naturist condominium, in the middle of eight hectares of native Atlantic Forest, near the paradisiacal Naturist Beach of Massarandupió, Entre Rios, Bahia, Brazil, which values and responds to the naturist precepts of respect for others and nature.
The project involves the construction of ecologically correct, self-sustainable housing using Permaculture. The reduced number of dwellings is observed, in total respect for the Native Forest.
Enjoy the best that nature has to offer, with ecological trails, squares and natural pools found throughout the complex, which also offers great leisure options through its annex – the Ecoparque da Mata.
How to get there
Located 93KM from Salvador, the municipality of Entre Rios is famous for its beautiful beaches, among which are Porto de Sauípe, Subaúma and Massarandupió. The latter is one of the eight Brazilian beaches where the practice of naturism is regulated. The strip of sand intended for naturism is 2km, but usually only 800 metres are used by visitors.
To get to Massarandupió from Salvador Airport, just drive along BA-099 (Estrada do Coco/Linha Verde). After passing the entrance to Porto de Sauípe, a sign will inform you of the access to Massarandupió, which is a clay road of about 10KM. The entire journey, made by car, takes approximately 1h35.
The region is blessed by nature, with dunes, coconut trees, beach and a river that runs right on the edge of the sea. Bathing is allowed throughout the area, but nudism is only regulated in the 2km strip mentioned above, being forbidden to be naked in the other parts of the beach, which can be seen as an obscene act and lead to detention;
