The culture in the northeast is also a great attraction for tourists, all states have different traditions and festivals.
Olinda, São Luís and the Pelourinho (Salvador), are the great cultural attractions of the region, being considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
O Carnival in the Northeast is one of the great attractions of the Northeast, especially in the city of Salvador and Recife.

The Recife Carnival is considered the most culturally diverse in the country with its giant dolls, frevo and maracatu, in addition to having the largest carnival block in the world, the Galo da Madrugada.

O Fernando de Noronha archipelago is gaining national and world prominence. Through the islands it is possible to see the jumping dolphins.
Another prominent place is the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, a complex of dunes, rivers, lagoons and mangroves.
In Bahia, there are Sauipe Coast, the largest tourist complex in Brazil, and the Abrolhos Archipelago, which has an excellent area for scuba diving and free diving, as well as attractions such as the humpback whales, which starts in the month of July.
No Piaui, are the national parks Sete Cidades, Serra das Confusãos and the Serra da Capivara with rock formation and cave paintings; in addition to its coast, it has the Delta of the Parnaíba.
Other highlights are the biggest cashew tree of the world and the Reis Magos Fort, both in Rio Grande do Norte.

It is based on spices with strong seasoning based on palm oil, coconut milk, ginger, pepper of various qualities and many others that are not used in other Brazilian states.
In Bahian cuisine, some of the main dishes are the Acarajé, Abará, Caruru and Vatapá.
Another cuisine with a lot of recognition is the cuisine of Paraíba.
Most dishes from Paraíba are based on cassava and sugar cane such as tapioca, rice pudding and sweet sausage.
Bahia holds the largest percentage of the Brazilian coast with 932 km being 12,4% of the total.
No Bahia coast is remarkable to All Saints Bay the largest bay in Brazil, with 1.052 km² in length, depth of up to 42 meters with diving visibility between 10 and 20 meters and the Bay of Aratu which is an immense inlet that houses the Port of Aratu, a shipyard, two of the ten most luxurious marinas in Latin America (Aratu Iate Clube and Marina Aratu) and the Aratu Naval Base, which is the favorite resting place of Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
It is also remarkable the Camamu Bay, third largest Brazilian bay. It has historical and tourist places such as Barra Grande, Camamu e Marau.
The Toca do Marlin hotel, the first in Latin America with a six-star rating, is located in Santa Cruz Cabralia, (BA), is located in a strategic and exuberant point of nature in this region, considered one of the most beautiful on the Brazilian and American coast.
A Sauipe Coast, located on the coast of Bahia, is the largest tourist complex in Brazil and one of the largest in Latin America.
