Ideal for water sports and diving, the sea of Praia do Forte is privileged to have coral reefs that come together forming the pools of Papa Gente, a place of crystalline waters with a depth of up to 3 meters.
Praia do Forte has developed ecologically and can be considered one of the main ecological resorts in Bahia. The village has retained much of its original charm; the developments are adequate and the local people integrate openly creating a fantastic atmosphere.
The Tamar Project was created in the 1980s to study and protect sea turtles on the Brazilian coast.
