Praia do Forte in Mata de São João

The beach that gives its name to the village is one of the best known in the state for two reasons – beauty and preservation. Heading north or south, the rustic settings of Itacimirim and Imbassaí offer waves, natural pools and river bathing.

Praia do Forte

Praia do Forte with 14 kilometers of clear sand and many coconut trees, Praia do Forte is one of the most popular in the North of Bahia, having as its trademark the sea turtles protected by the Tamar Project.

The scenery is perfect for hiking and offers good stretches for surfing and diving – the reefs form natural pools in the area known as Papa-Gente.

On weekends, the movement is great in front of the village. Be careful when swimming at high tide, when the water hides the rocks that are very close to the sand.

Imbassaí Beach

The great attraction of Imbassaí beach is a peninsula of sand formed between the sea and a small river that runs parallel.

There are rustic tents and, when it’s time to dive, you just have to choose between fresh or salt water.

Itacimirim Beach

Itacimirim Beach is located in the city of Camaçari and belongs to the Costa dos Coqueiros, which comprises the entire north coast of the state of Bahia.

With blue sea and coconut trees, Itacimirim has weak waves and natural pools in some stretches.

The left corner is the most beautiful and deserted. It is five kilometers north of Porto Seguro.
