Best beaches on the coast of Ceará

1. Barra do Cauipe – Cumbuco

To get there by car Barra do Cauipe, from Cumbuco, there are two accesses: one of 22 km, by the old road of the Port of Pecém, and another of 10 km, skirting the shore, which starts at Cumbuco Beach (in the second option, consult the conditions of the road, which undergoes paving works).

2. Canoa Quebrada – Aracati

7. Lagoinha – CE

With good options of inns and restaurants, Lagoinha is located 124 km from Fortaleza and is a great option for those looking for paradisiacal beaches in the Northeast.

Its half-moon-shaped shore, covered with reddish dunes and coconut palms, is a unique landscape and enchants the eyes of all who visit it.

8. Lagoa do Paraíso and Lagoa Azul – Jericoacoara

One of several beaches in Ceará bathed by a lagoon, Paraíso lives up to its name.

Its landscape is formed by crystal clear waters and clear dunes, and its visitors can relax in the wooden chairs or in the hammocks installed over the water.

12. Ponta Grossa – Canoa Quebrada

53km away from the city centre is Ponta Grossa Beach, a green and red paradise that combines the colour of the sea with its cliffs, dunes and coconut trees.

But forget about using a regular car to reach this destination, as the rocks along the way require a buggy or a 4×4 car.

13. Tatajuba – CE

In addition to its wonderful greenish waters, Tatajuba in Camocim still offers its visitors a buggy ride through the dunes, up paddle and kaiak.

There are several options of restaurants serving typical food with great simplicity and quality. But if you are looking for tranquillity, be sure to stretch your back in the delicious hammocks installed over the water.
